Lernziel
(Learning outcome) | Die Studierenden haben einen Überblick über die typische Softwarelandschaft in mittelständischen Unternehmen und Konzernen. Sie kennen eine Reihe von häufig eingesetzten Typen von Informationssystemen mit deren charakteristischen Eigenschaften und Einsatzgebieten, sowie typischen Vertretern im kommerziellen und Open Source Umfeld. Sie kennen die Herausforderungen für den Betrieb von Informationssystemen in Unternehmen und haben grundlegendes Verständnis für Maßnahmen zur Überwachung. Sie können einschätzen, welche Vorteile sich durch eine integrierte IT-Infrastruktur im Gegensatz zu isolierten Informationssystemen ergeben. |

(Learning outcome) | Students have an overview of the typical software landscape of a medium-sized or big company. They know a number of frequently used types of information systems together with their characteristical functionality and application areas, as well as typical representatives of from the commercial and open source realm. They are able to name the challenges for the operation of information systems in organizations and have a basic understanding of monitoring measures. They can judge the benefits that are gained from integrated IT infrastructures compared to isolated information systems. |
